Welcome to my world of legal thrillers! This is a fun place where you’ll find escapes from the real world, and those little escapes are called novels. That’s what I do—I write the things. I hope to transport you into the exciting world of trial lawyers as experienced by me, John Ellsworth, a trial lawyer with forty years of trial experience. But trials aren’t the be-all and end-all of my books. You’ll find that in addition to trials there are compelling stories. And life-size, believable characters. My ability to develop characters that people can love and hate is one of the most often mentioned bits when people leave reviews of my work on Amazon.
So please, come on in, pull up your favorite chair, put your feet up, take a sip of your favorite coffee, and turn to the first page.
My most recent book is a prequel to the Thaddeus Murfee series of books. Cleverly enough it’s entitled Thaddeus Murfee: A Prequel. This is where it all began for Thaddeus and, if you’re attracted to that series, it’s the perfect place for you to start reading. In it we find Thaddeus has just graduated from law school and has $200 to his name, an old Vespa motor scooter, and an eviction notice from his landlord. Happily—it seems—he lands a job with the U.S. Attorney, only to find that he’s actually been hired to spy on the U.S.—but wait, I’m getting ahead of myself. The book is a great read; I encourage you to download it now and start turning pages. Best of all, transport away and enjoy your time off from your real life while you visit Thaddeus Murfee’s real life.
